Charlotte Rathbone MA MA CMLI

Charlotte has worked for private practices in the UK and Hong Kong, starting with the now iconic Stockley Park near Heathrow, under the tutelage of Bernard Ede. She has enjoyed project management responsibilities for the landscape design, coordination and implementation of district and town parks in Hong Kong, housing, land reclamation, and visual impact assessments for landfill sites and realignments for major trunk roads.

Since co-founding the Rathbone Partnership practice, she has designed parks, hospital landscapes, developer residential design/build schemes, the University College Falmouth campus landscape, and numerous private gardens in Devon and Cornwall. Experienced with working on community projects and the involvement of artists.

Andrew Rathbone BSc MA CMLI

Andrew has worked for private practices and local authorities in the UK and Hong Kong; early career included landform and woodland design for award-winning coalfield reclamation schemes in the north of England. Worked in private practice in the South west, on power-station visual impacts, road landscapes, quarry restoration; before taking a contract in the Far East with the HK Government where he had project management responsibilities for the design, coordination and implementation of Hong Kong New Town housing and parks.

Since co-founding the Rathbone Partnership practice with Charlotte, he has designed local parks, urban spaces, hospitals, zoos, developer design/build schemes, landscape assessments for feasibility and Planning, and many schools and private gardens in Devon and Cornwall. Experienced with participating/chairing public consultations in the realm of urban design.

Plymouth College of Art & Design with the Sorrell Foundation: student mentor/visiting lecturer.
Exhibited at the Young Design Centre exhibition ‘The Pupils’ Brief’ at Somerset House, London.
